In 2001, the Derek Dolenc Cancer Patient Assistance Fund was created to assist patients of Memorial Medical Center's Regional Cancer Center (located in Springfield, Illinois) who have exhausted their insurance benefits or who have no insurance. This unique fund enables families in crisis to devote their attention to things that matter most - time with the people they love.
The Derek Dolenc Memorial Cancer Patient Assistance Fund has reached approximately $288,000 to date.
